European Meeting on Source-to-Sink Systems

Join us for the culminating event of the Marie Sklodowska Curie Innovative Training Network (ITN) project S2S-Future—the European Meeting on Source-to-Sink Systems. The meeting will take place at the University of Rennes (France) on July 1 and 2, 2024 and will bring together Early Stage Researchers (ESR) / PhD candidates, scholars, and external participants to explore and celebrate the outcomes of the extensive research conducted within the S2S-Future network. The meeting is open for registration to all interested individuals, providing an opportunity to listen, engage, and present posters.

The event will consist of three dynamic workshops, each spanning a half-day, and of a session on the legacy aspects of the project. The workshop structure includes ESR presentations, insightful commentary from two guest speakers and a discussion. Additionally, the event will conclude with a roundtable discussion on the future prospects of S2S studies, encompassing conversations about pending scientific questions, methodological challenges, and key field studies. Poster sessions and coffee breaks will allow for informal networking.

Presentation

S2S-FUTURE project gathers an outstanding European research and training network of 15 PhD students, hosted at world-leading academic institutions and industrial companies, whose aim is to develop the S2S paradigm as a powerful vector for understanding sedimentary accumulations as natural resources.

The project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement No 860383.
